  Unlike their website quote, we found 4DS to be unreliable, unfriendly, and above all unprofessional, lacking in reasonable care & attention, and exhibiting a total lack of respect for our home & family. Workmanship was of poor quality and despite requests for progress updates, the company failed repeatedly to respond, only communicating pro-actively when wanting money. The steelwork installation was not to our Structural Engineer’s instructions, with 4DS arbitrarily choosing not to install two steel beams, or timber purlin. Lintel’s over window openings were incorrectly fitted and insulation was omitted from walls, floors & ceilings. Zero fire protection plasterboard fitted on the structural steelwork and the hollow floor under our existing house completely filled with debris, including live electrical wiring. The redundant soil & vent pipe left uncapped, along with the redundant manhole / drainage under the kitchen floor. The build itself was poorly scheduled and disorganised. Different trades turning up on the same day, all jockeying for space, and then long periods of zero activity on site. Areas of the build identified as not being per our agreement were blamed on the individual sub-contracted trades, with the directors absolving themselves of any responsibility. If you are thinking of using 4DS Construction I would suggest you check out the Directors history with Companies House / Endole / DueDil, and run a credit check on the company. If you are then still considering appointing 4DS Construction you are welcome to access the third party professional reports we commissioned to help us fully understand the sheer scale of their ineptitude. In summary the directors are very good at deflecting any criticism that comes their way, great at playing the blame game, and are masters at covering up defects with fresh plaster and a coat of paint. Therefore I could not recommend 4DS Construction, or any other organisation that the current directors may be connected with now or in the future
